Customers Confirm ECD’s Technology Leadership and Service Excellence Across Product Lines

March 2, 2020–During last month’s IPC APEX EXPO electronics event, ECD was honored with two coveted Circuits Assembly Service Excellence Awards–one in the soldering category for its M.O.L.E.® thermal profiling technology and the other for MSD component storage powerhouse SmartDRY™. Unlike other industry competitions, the Service Excellence Award program is unique in that customers are the judges and their rankings across various criteria decide winner outcomes. Both product lines earned high marks from current customers in each of the five areas evaluated: dependability, quality, responsiveness, technology, and value for the price.

In the soldering category, ECD’s M.O.L.E. thermal profiling systems secured a first-place finish in each area, with an overall average rating of 6.60 out of a possible 7.0 – a near-perfect score. Launched in 1986 as the first commercially viable technology for in-transit thermal profiling, the M.O.L.E. product line has continued to evolve and now offers manufacturers a comprehensive range of systems–from 3-channel to 6-channel to 20-channel devices--allowing adaptability for various operational objectives. The data-rich M.O.L.E. is the industry standard when it comes to thorough profiling of today’s most demanding assemblies. Customer participants in the Service Excellence Award program shared their satisfaction with M.O.L.E. systems:

[M.O.L.E. has] a very friendly user interface and software; easily mastered in a few days. Our reflow profiles improved with M.O.L.E. use and have remained improved. When new engineers are hired, it’s easy to train them on M.O.L.E. use.

--Ken Mount, Production Engineer, Circuitronics

Component storage was also a winner for ECD, with the company’s SmartDRY™ Intelligent Dry Storage product line taking first place in its Service Excellence category. With an average score of 6.56 out of a possible 7.0, SmartDRY proved that its industry-leading recovery time of less than three minutes, innovative status lighting, SmartBAKE (SD10) dual-function capability and U.S.A.-produced quality resonate with customers across market sectors. Service Excellence survey respondents provided candid comments about their systems and ECD’s service:

“The dry boxes function beautifully, the pricing is competitive, they are easy to set up, are made in the USA and are solidly built.”

--Trevor Devine, Vice President, Signal Hound, Inc.

This is the third Service Excellence Award win for ECD in the soldering category and the second consecutive win for component storage. For more information, visit www.ecd.com or call Bob Schnyder at +1-503-659-6100.
