Saunders Technology, Inc. (STI) was founded in 1992 by Roger Saunders, to bring his recently patented temperature sensing instrument, TemprobeTM to the circuit board assembly industry. This test instrument is a revolutionary improvement over the conventional method of monitoring the temperature of the soldering process by attaching thermocouples to critical locations on circuit boards with high temperature solder or epoxy. TemprobeTM , with its simple mechanical attachment, is much quicker and easier to install and remove, substantially reducing labor and circuit board rework and repair costs. In 1993 it received the Vision Award as the outstanding new test product of the year. Since then, several other new products have been added, which help make profiling easier and more accurate.

STI markets its products through independent U.S. and international sales rep organizations and distributors. We are building relationships with OEM's of related products for the circuit board assembly industry. STI has earned a reputation for innovative, top quality products that meet real industry needs, for excellent customer service and for strong technical support. We are experiencing substantial growth in the Contract Assembly market and are working hard to meet the new challenges of lead-free and other new technologies.

On 9/5/2000 assets of Saunders Technology, Inc. were sold to ECD.
