| Profile Planner Overview |
 |
 |
| 1 - Paste Specifications |
 |
When a Paste is selected, on the Paste specification Tab you can see
the Ideal Profile using that Paste. To start, we select the average value
or "Reference Nominal" for each specification (i. e... Ramp Slope)
for our calculations. You, as the user, can change this value, "Nominal"
and/or any of the individual specifications. You can also add more Pastes
to the database and change the Paste being used from this screen.
Currently there are over 280 solder pastes in this list. As we learn
of more, they will be added in future updates |
|
2 - Oven Configurations |

|
This shows part of the Oven Database. Most of the Ovens shown are AutoM.O.L.E.(R)Xpert3
ready which means that they use this process to setup the oven to
achieve the most Robust Profile - automatically. As in the Paste Database
above, the current selected Oven is highlighted. The graph at the bottom
is a visual representation of the zones in the Oven selected. Note:
this database only includes data for the heated zones.
You can add an Oven or change the Oven being used from this screen. |
|
3 - Robust Profile Calculator |

|
The Robust Profile Calculator Screen. The results
of the selections made are shown as well as the Robust Profile generated.
- The ability to select another Paste or Oven
- The specifications of the selected Paste, including the Nominal values
- Cells where you can enter different User Set Values and see, for
the calculation, the effect it will have on the Profile
- The Ideal values using that Paste
- The calculated values that result using these parameters in that
specific Oven
- Ramp, Soak, and Spike times are generated
- Time above liquidous is calculated as well as the speed
used to generate this profile
- The ability to hide this data if desired
- The specifications of the selected Oven, dimensions, and where the
Ramp, Soak, and Spike Parameters appear in that Oven using the selected
Paste
- The graph shows the actual Robust Profile with the Paste Specification
Boundaries (triangles)
- This is the best zone distribution between Ramp, Soak, and Spike
regions.
- Below the graph is a visual representation of the ideal profile, the
Oven zones, and the robust profile
- The Goodness number is an indication of how well this profile fits
this oven. It is not an indication of whether it will work. A higher
number does not indicate that this paste will do a better job in that
Oven

4 - Robust Profile Chart |
|
 |
Much of the data in this workbook can be printed. This
is a sheet that has an enlarged visual of the Robust Profile Graph.
