Frequently Asked Questionsfor OvenWATCH® Please choose from the following:
-ECD provides the upgrades at no cost at this point in time to our representatives and distributors, believing currently they can best determine if or when you should upgrade the Ovenwatch system. -You can back up your database by running the .bat file called ExtractDatabaseToFolder.bat and specifying the output directory there. Additionally if you want a complete backup of everything, you also need to copy the archive database. After upgrading pictures cause a error message, and I cannot rebuild my database. -Rebuilding the database requires that Ovenwatch not be running. If this still occurs while Ovenwatch is closed, it is often a permissions issue with how your IT department has configured your system. An example of this is if you cannot write to .log files, then you cannot rebuild the database, since doing so writes a .log file. Please try logging on as an administrator with your machine and see if things work better then. If they do, your IT administrator will have to look into the problem, and he can contact ECD for assistance in determining why this is occurring. How do I restore and use old archived data? -By selecting the archive menu item, you can push the restore from archive button, and then select the week you wish to restore to view. The weeks are named in a year month day then archive. So for example 20060617restore.bat would cause the files from the week of June 17 th, 2006 to be restored. Keep in mind that this data will be moved back off the operational database the next time you push start, or whenever midnight is passed while the operation is running. -This is best answered by watching the online tutorial at: http://www.ecd.com/tutorials/HTML/index.html How do I create a baseline profile? -This is best answered by watching the online tutorial at: http://www.ecd.com/tutorials/HTML/index.html How do I search for information? -This is best answered by watching the online tutorial at: http://www.ecd.com/tutorials/HTML/index.html Return to top of the page |
