WaveRIDER®

"The Quality Control Tool No Wave Solder Operator Should Be Without"

.

WaveRIDER

Reduces your cost

To ensure optimal equipment performance, you need to know what's actually going on inside the process. Now you can analyze your wave soldering process and fine tune your machine for optimum performance, reducing scrap and rework. Your now have ISO documentation available on critical machine parameters.

Increases yields

The WaveRIDER® is the most accurate process monitor for wave solder machines available. Designed to give your manufacturing team the edge they need, the WaveRIDER® can increase overall production yields and optimize machine performance.

Quick and easy to use

WaveRIDER®'s unique design allows operators and maintenance personnel to easily perform routine operation checks and troubleshooting diagnostics in just a few minutes. Quickly measure and print conveyor speed, solder wave and pre-heat parameters.

General Information

The WaveRIDER® is a self-contained system that provides critical data on wave solder machine setup and performance.

The standard WaveRIDER® consists of:

Checks conveyor, solder wave & pre-heat

The brain of the system is the SuperM.O.L.E.® Gold. The M.O.L.E.® records and stores data as the WaveRIDER® passes through the wave solder machine. Sensors embedded in the RIDER monitor one or two solder waves. Analytical software in the M.O.L.E.® analyzes and generates an accurate report covering:

  • Board Contact Lengths
  • Board Dwell Time in the Solder Waves
  • Board Immersion Depths
  • Conveyor Speed
  • Conveyor to Solder Wave Parallelism
  • Temperature Delta at Solder Wave
  • Preheat Minimum and Maximum Temperatures
  • Preheat Slope
  • Accurate Solder Wave Temperature
  • Total Time Spent above Typical Solder Melting Point Temperatures
  • Chip Wave Specifications with Automatic Detection

Operation

The WaveRIDER® is run through the wave solder process as one would normally run a printed circuit board through the wave solder machine. After passing through the wave solder machine, the MOLE is connected to your computerk with an interface cable. Data captured by the RIDER is transferred to the computer and a report is generated.
